Make this St. Patrick’s Month a remarkable one for your business. The biggest way that you can differentiate YOUR business from all the others in your area is by crafting creative marketing that creates a connection and drives people into your business. Here are some fun ways to make your marketing in March memorable and bring in more business.
- Create a “lucky” offer. If you are a Restaurant Owner it could be a themed dessert or cocktail. For Auto Repair Shops, it could be green wiper fluid or de-icer and a 21 point inspection. Retail Store Owners -consider a themed book, or jewelry item.
- According to an Irish legend, people lucky enough to find a leprechaun and capture him can barter his freedom for his treasure. So write a fun email and direct mail piece telling the story of how you found him… and now he’s given your customers a special gift in exchange for his freedom.
- It is also said that if a human (ie you) succeeds in catching a leprechaun, they will grant you three wishes, or even give you their pot of gold. You could turn this into a three-part offer; for example you could offer an appetizer, main and dessert for $35, or an oil change, tire rotation and fluid top up for $65.
- Do you have a lucky number? Then tie your marketing into that. My lucky number is 14 – so maybe I offer a certificate worth $14.14 off. This needs to be combined with a direct mail (like a postcard), an email and social media posts so that you can tell the story behind your lucky number.
- Create a scratch off campaign to mail or give as a bounce back (a certificate you give customers on this visit to bring back on their next visit) giving your customers a little luck and something out of the ordinary. Any time someone is offered the opportunity, most of us can’t resist the desire to scratch that little glittery box to see what’s revealed. You don’t have to give away anything big… auto repair could be as simple as a bottle of green windshield washer fluid, or new wipers. Think of some prizes that have a low cost to you, but high value to your customers, and solve a problem for them.
